ABOUT
David F. Carney, with over 35 years of experience in the career education industry, recently established BayFront Education, it’s focus being directed toward assisting companies with strategic initiatives ,including growth through acquisition, establishing new campuses or helping in the development of new businesses.
Prior to establishing Bayfront Advisors in 2012,he served as Senior Advisor to Lincoln Education corporation ( Nasdaq “Linc”) following his retirement as Chairman of the Board of Lincoln at the end of 2010. In 1999 he joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the board, and during his tenure the company grew from 13 schools in 6 states to over 40 schools in 17 states. In 2005, the company filed its initial public offering.
Prior to joining Lincoln, he served as a consultant following the sale of his two schools and corporate training company, which he operated from 1987-1997.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Carney spent 5 years with Deloitte & Touche, followed by 20 years in various capacities with British Oxygen Group Limited, including 10 years as CFO and Vice President of Development of the Education Services Division which grew during that period from 4 to 25 schools.
From 1990 to 1992, Mr. Carney was president of the Massachusetts Association of Private Career Schools. From 2001-2004 he served on the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of Caldwell College. In 2006 he was the Recipient of the New Jersey Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the year award. Mr. Carney received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Seton Hall University.
